Who we are and what we do

Social Programmes

LaterLearning.org is a Scottish adult teaching and learning charity (SC 043227) based in Glasgow. We work with partners, particularly Awards for All Scotland and others,  to provide  adult learning experiences and support to disadvantaged young and older adults. We encourage these adults to use the learning and experience they already have, as a platform to improve their lives and to deal more effectively with the challenges they face in their everyday lives. Our programmes  promote individual responsibility, and the role of individuals to achieve their objectives in the context of their responsibilities to others. By helping them work together, we help them realise that they are not alone; and we support them through practical learning  to help themselves and each other, and to achieve better lives for themselves and their families.

We also work in partnership with other charities to develop training and learning programmes that will benefit the communities we serve. We are involved with other organisations such as learning institutions to break down the barriers between the disadvantaged and learning opportunities.

Full details of our programmes are available on Our Courses page, with news updates on our home page and News & Updates section.

While we are particularly keen to talk to you if you can support us , we are happy to hear from anyone, particularly in the voluntary sector who thinks we can help.

Third Sector Commercial Programmes

This activity  supports the funding of our social support programmes. We do not provide packaged commercial courses. Our programmes are all  designed around the specific needs of each partner, and we specialise in areas such as managing organisational change, stakeholder management within organisations, managing organisational conflict, tackling personal barriers to employment, event management for third sector organisations, building and developing confidence in young people, and bereavement training for care professionals. We also undertake project management contracts with a particular interest in voluntary sector organisations.  Please contact us and we will arrange a meeting to discuss how we can help you.
